Dear friends of UPI,

Just returned from Mississippi where we concluded the fourth year of a UPI hunt. Scott Linebrink, Cal Eldred, Mike Valentine, Bob Howry, Turner Ward and myself were the guests of the Platt family. What a blessing. We did not shoot a deer (that will make some of you PETA fans happy!) but we had a great time in the Word and in fellowship ... which is really what these hunts are all about!

Our hosts were the best. Sam, Luke and Skip Platt gave us full reign over the entire 1700 acres of land they have in Egypt, Mississippi as well as another 800 they lease. They donated the land, the housing and the food!!!  What a gift!!  It was beautiful land and although the deer were off for Christmas vacation....just the time outdoors was great. It rained the last day, but the guys took advantage of the weather and shot a bunch of ducks!!

Our time in the Word centered around God being our Authority and challenges to what our motivation is for being a follower of Master Jesus. Special thanks to Cal Eldred for setting up and overseeing this ministry event for UPI.

We made it home safely and now are getting ready to celebrate the most exciting birth in the history of the World.

May this Christmas be very special to you as you think of all God gave, and thanks so much for caring about each of the families of UPI. It is greatly appreciated!
