WHAT’S A SMALL GROUP?

A group of 3 to 8 people that get together regularly to learn a new way of life and a new way of thinking about the world based on the life and teachings of Jesus. Each member is willing to make the group a priority and each group is focused on these three elements:

Praising and Honoring God

Caring and Praying for One Another

Learning and Obeying the Bible

 HOW DO YOU MEET?

The professional baseball schedule can make it difficult to get together so every member of the group must be willing to make it work.

Group meetings can be held in person or through video chats and conference calls.

What’s the structure?

Our approach takes the traditional Bible study and builds in a few key elements to highlight obedience and life-transformation.

It is a DNA that is easy to replicate, and it empowers ANYONE to lead a small group.

 Core Values

Most people assume that the most important part of a small group is content and structure, but we would argue that the most important aspect is the core values that define the group.

These core values ought to be the heart and soul of every group that set the tone and goals of every group. Below are the four core values that we pursue for every small group.

Worship

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. (Matt. 22:37)

Prayer

Confess your sins to one another and pray for one another. (James 5:16)

Learning

And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. (Acts 2:42)

Loving

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another. (John 13:34-35)
