2026 Episode 43, 1 Kings 19-22, 2 Kings 1-4
Oct 18, 2026 • Simon Guehring
In this week’s episode, Simon explores Elijah’s experience in 1 Kings 19 and what happens when we move from a mountaintop experience with God into a season of fear, exhaustion, and discouragement.
He highlights the picture of Elijah under the broom tree and how God meets him in his weakness with kindness, mercy, and compassionate care, providing what he needs to continue.
Simon then reflects on how God can reveal Himself through fire from heaven, yet speak in a gentle whisper in the quiet. He challenges us to make space in our busy lives to slow down, listen, and hear the voice of God.
We pray this week’s readings, episode, and Digging Deeper Study Guide both challenge and encourage you as you continue to grow in your faith.
