An Unchecked Life

In this week's episode, Tony examines the life of David and how his faithful obedience led him to amazing heights, but how an unchecked area of sin eventually led to a tragic fall.

Tony highlights how David's power and position gave his sin the opportunity to flourish, while the comfort and ease he had built around himself helped create the environment in which it was exposed.

He then challenges us to hold our lives up against David's, to learn from both his successes and his failures, so that we might faithfully serve the Lord and also avoid experiencing a tragic fall ourselves.

1. What area of your life may have gone unchecked, and have you allowed to grow in your comfort, success, or isolation?

2. Who in your life has permission to lovingly challenge you, confront your blind spots, and tell you what you need to hear?

3. As you look at David's life, what can you learn from both his faithfulness and his failures, and how might God want you to apply those lessons to your own life?
