Love And Devotion

In this week’s episode, Tony closes out Song of Songs and takes us back to 1 Kings, exploring how our love and devotion need to be directed toward the Lord.

He then highlights Elijah’s simple obedience, which flows from his love and devotion to God. God speaks, and Elijah simply obeys.

Tony closes the episode by challenging us to examine our hearts for any disordered loves that may be competing for our devotion, so that we can pursue wholehearted love, devotion, and obedience to the Lord.

1. How would I grade my love and devotion to the Lord? Do I have any disordered loves competing for my heart?

2. What would it look like for me to be obedient like Elijah—to simply go and do what the Lord has asked me to do?

3. How can I make room in my prayer life to ask the Lord, “Is there something You want me to do or say?”

4. Do I truly believe that I can walk confidently wherever the Lord directs my steps? Why or why not?
