Godly Leadership And Deep Friendship
In this week’s episode, Brian closes out 1 Samuel and kicks off our time in 2 Samuel, exploring the depth of leadership and the significance of deep friendship.
He highlights how a true leader seeks the Lord for guidance and pursues the good of those entrusted to their leadership.
Brian also emphasizes our need for deep friendships, not only for the good of our souls, but also for people who can help reveal our blind spots and whom we can trust with our true selves.
Digging Deeper Reflection Questions:
1. As you reflect on your life, who has led you well, and what did their leadership reveal to you about godly leadership?
2. Who are the people in your life who truly know you? Are you allowing anyone close enough to speak into your life and lovingly reveal your blind spots?
3. If you do not have a Jonathan in your life, would you be willing to ask Jesus to lead you to someone you can trust and grow alongside? As you pray, also consider whether God may be calling you to be that kind of friend to someone else.
We pray this week’s readings, episode, and Digging Deeper Reflection Questions both challenge and encourage you as you continue to grow in your faith.
