A Different Kind Of People
In this week's episode, Simon highlights how God was forming Israel into a different kind of nation—a people who would reflect His heart, character, and nature to the world around them.
Simon explores how seriously God takes sin, knowing that it never remains small. Once it takes root, it grows and slowly destroys people, families, communities, and cultures.
He also examines God’s concern for the vulnerable and how His laws provided protection and care for those who would otherwise be overlooked or forgotten.
Finally, Simon shows how Jesus is both the fulfillment of these laws and warnings, and the One who takes the punishment for mankind's inability to keep it, perfectly revealing the heart and character of God.
Digging Deeper Reflection Questions:
1. What kind of person am I becoming because of Him? Am I becoming more compassionate, honest, and generous?
2. Am I reflecting God well in the way I treat others?
3. Do I use power the way the world uses power, or the way Jesus does?
We pray this week’s readings, episode, and Digging Deeper questions both challenge and encourage you as you continue to grow in your faith.
